Leupold PRW Rings Review

Leupold PRW rings

Leupold PRW rings

Leupold PRW rings are the permanent version of the QRW quick release rings. Machined from steel bar stock the mounts align perfectly (assuming your rail or bases are correctly dimensioned). The Leupold PRW rings clamp to the Weaver or MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail with dual Torx screws and a steel crossbar prevents any movement under recoil. The rings are clamped by four Torx screws below the half-way point on the ring. This reduces the chance that the scope will rotate in the ring when the Torx screws are tightened. The PRW rings are available powder coated in gloss black (1″ Medium height only) or matte black and in low (1″ only), medium and high format (for very high mounting use the Mark 4 mounts instead). Scope mounting heights are as follows:

1″ Low 0.75″
1″ Medium 0.88″
1″ High 1.00″
30mm Medium 0.97″
30mm High 1.09″
