Trijicon TriPower Review

Trijicon TriPower

Trijicon TriPower

The Trijicon TriPower is the first sight to use three forms of illumination for use in all lighting conditions. Fiber-optic illumination adapts automatically to almost all day lighting conditions. Tritium works in low light and with NV. Battery comes in in special circumstances – for instance when shooting from inside a dark building into bright light or when sighting against brightly lit snow. This is essential in entry operations.

The TX30 TriPower employs two CR1/3N batteries and brightness is adjusted via an easily manipulated switch on top of the unit. There are 15 day and 5 night settings – more than you get with any Aimpoint or Eotech. The Trijicon TriPower TX30 is parallax free, unlike the magnifying ACOGs. However it lacks the ACOG’s etched reticle and relys instead on a red aiming chevron that is 14.4 MoA tall and 16.6 MoA wide – the size of a standard US Army silhouette target at 100 meters to aid ranging.

Broad band anti reflective coated lenses ensure maxium light transmission. Both the objective and occular lens housings are threaded to take accessories. Like all Trijicon sights, the TriPower is immensely strong. The housing is one-piece and is machined from a forging of 7075-T6 aircraft quality aluminium. The TX30 is hard anodized matte black and is waterproof to 100ft.
